Unexpectedly: Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, which were unveiled 5.5 years ago, got new software

Samsung has unexpectedly released a new system update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones, which were introduced 5.5 years ago.

What we know

The update came out with the build number G95*FXXUCDVG4. As for the list of changes, it states that the developers have improved GPS stability. But given that the update weighs 420 MB, we can assume that the system has also fixed other minor bugs.

Recall, now the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ run on the operating system Android 9. The firmware has a security patch for April 2021. By the way, the last update of the smartphones came out last May.
