A new 11-minute video showing Neowiz Games' soulslike Lies of P gameplay has appeared on IGN.
Here's What We Know
In the video, you can see the main character Pinocchio wandering in the cruel and dark world of the Belle Époque. More gameplay is also shown as Pinocchio battles various machine dolls, dogs, and huge steam-punk robots. We can notice that the character uses a saber and a whip in his battles, with which he can draw his opponent to him, but this will not be the only weapon in the game.
We can see that the developers were inspired by another soulslike project Bloodborne, but this didn't prevent the game from having a unique look with its magical and at the same time creepy 19th century architecture city Krat with different horrible puppet-machines and familiar, but still good combat system.
Lies of P is a soulslike adventure game with a unique "lie" system. The story will unfold depending on how the player lies, at the end it will affect the end of the story. Because Pinocchio is a puppet, players can modify the character's body parts to gain new skills, unique features and an advantage in combat. The game also promises an elegant world, a deep combat system and a fascinating story with dozens of different opponents.
Lies of P is scheduled for release in 2023. The game will appear on PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and on day one in the Xbox Game Pass library.
