In May of this year, the General Staff of the AFU reported that Russia had reactivated rare T-62 tanks for the war with Ukraine. And now, nearly four months later, it has fallen into the hands of Ukrainian soldiers.

Here's What We Know

A photo of the captured T-62M Fury tank was published by the Telegram channel dvish_alive. Judging by all, the tank was captured during the counterattack of the AFU in the Kharkiv region.

Flashback

The T-62 is a Soviet medium tank that was produced from the '60s through the '70s. It has a 115mm 2A20 smoothbore gun, which is capable of firing up to 5.8 km. By the way, this is the first tank in the world with a smoothbore gun. Totally about 20 000 T-62 tanks were produced.
