Steam has a new section where players can recommend add-ons
Steam already has a lot of systems for recommending games to users, but now Valve wants to do the same with add-ons.
Here's What We Know
Steam is launching DLC Dicsovery Lab, a new feature of Steam Labs, an experimental platform that Valve uses to collect and test new Steam features. The section is divided into two sections: the top one displays "Popular DLC for your games", where the main priority is the popularity of the add-on, regardless of the game. The second section is more interesting: here you can see the add-ons for the games you've played recently or the ones you've played the most. Of course, there are a bunch of algorithms behind all this, for example, the "most played" category contains DLC for games you've played in the last few years, and then games from previous periods of time.
As with all new Steam Lab releases, the Discovery Hub DLC is actually a beta test, which means that the features are not necessarily final and may change or not arrive at all before release.
