The Lilium air taxi was able to reach speeds of 250 km/h
Lilium Air Mobility has been developing an air taxi with vertical take-off and landing powered by electric propulsion for several years. The German manufacturer recently celebrated a major achievement.
Here's What We Know
The air taxi demonstrator is called the Phoenix 2. In September 2022, the aircraft was able to accelerate to 185 km/h. The day before, the German company announced that the air taxi managed to reach a speed of 250 km/h.

The electric plane has been tested in the south of Spain. Lilium believes that this is a key achievement for certification in 2025, which will enable the commercial use of air taxis.
