Here we go! Microsoft signs a 10-year deal with Boosteroid, a Ukrainian cloud gaming platform
Microsoft has announced that it has signed a 10-year agreement with Ukrainian cloud gaming platform Boosteroid. The development team will have access to all Microsoft games on PCs.
Here's What We Know
Now games created by Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and other Microsoft studios will be available for Boosteroid subscribers. The company also promises to add Activision Blizzard games to the library as soon as the deal is completed (although the latter is not so simple).
"Boosteroid shares Microsoft's vision of bringing games to as many people, places, and platforms as possible. We've long been committed to enabling gamers to enjoy their favourite games on any device they have at hand," said Ivan Shvaichenko, CEO of Boosteroid. "Today's announcement is another step in this direction. In addition, as our development team is based in Ukraine, we appreciate Microsoft's ongoing commitment to Ukraine, and we will work together on an initiative to support our local game development community to invest in the country's continued economic recovery."
Boosteroid has been operating since 2017. The company's operations are mainly based in Kyiv and Kharkiv. Despite the fact that two offices in Kharkiv were damaged by Russian missile attacks, the company continued to innovate and grow throughout the full-scale invasion.
Boosteroid offers cloud-based game streaming both through the browser and through dedicated apps, including those for Windows, Linux, Android, Android TV, and macOS. You can try Boosteroid cloud gaming in the US, the UK, Ukraine, and the European Union. The company has recently surpassed 4 million users worldwide and has become the largest independent cloud gaming provider in the world.
