Windows 10 users have started receiving new adverts asking them to upgrade to Windows 11
It seems that Microsoft has started to advertise its new products more intrusively lately - we've already seen enough Windows 11 test builds that "recommend" you try Office or One Drive. But Windows 10 owners shouldn't worry - the company has made it there, too.
Users of the latest build of Windows 10 have started reporting full-screen ads offering to upgrade to Windows 11. The ads appear immediately after booting into the system and at first glance, they simply give you an ultimatum - start the upgrade right now or schedule it for later. Only if you look closely at the bottom will you notice the text "Keep Windows 10" - this is the only way to avoid the upgrade.
Of course, there's more to choosing this option. Microsoft will then show you another splash screen describing the benefits of Windows 11 over 10. It provides useful information on how to upgrade later from the settings menu, but overall Microsoft is a little too eager to get their users to upgrade to the newer OS.
