"It's all video games' fault" - President Emmanuel Macron has found the cause of the riots that have engulfed France
Ever since video games became mass entertainment, politicians have regularly blamed them for all social problems.
Instead of admitting their mistakes and offering solutions to the situations that arise, it is easier for them to say that games are to blame for making people inadequate and violent.
Here's What We Know
In the US, for example, GTA has been a "favourite" game for manipulative accusations for almost 30 years. In Russia, they've gone even further and claimed that DOTA 2 is an incredibly bloody and violent game that encourages people to be violent.
French President Emmanuel Macron has decided to keep up with his colleagues and said that the riots that swept the country last week were caused by video games. The video games, the president said, had provoked protests after a 17-year-old boy was killed by police.

I would urge politicians around the world to look beyond their responsibilities, respond appropriately to public concerns and avoid raising far-fetched accusations which only exacerbate tensions, not lessen them.
