Everything you need to know about the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Mirage in one atmospheric video from Ubisoft

Ubisoft has unveiled a new video for Assassin's Creed Mirage in which they talk about the game's protagonist, Basim.
Here's What We Know
Although Basim is known to gamers from Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Mirage is positioned as a standalone game that does not require knowledge of the previous installments to understand.
But, of course, careful fans will find plenty of references to other parts of the series.
What's known about Bashima:
- The action of Mirage takes place in 861, 12 years before the events of Valhalla;
- Basim's homeland is in the Middle East;
- He starts out as a thief and outlaw, but after some events, he joins the Assassin network in Alamut, becoming one of them;
- Basim's decision to become one of them came about as a result of the strange dreams that haunted him;
- Mirage will not offer players a choice of weapons, so Basim uses a sword and dagger in combat, but as the game progresses, the hero will get better and better weapons;
- Assassin's Creed Mirage has no customary character development system, all the necessary items and weapons the hero will get automatically as he progresses through the story;
- Ubisoft's designers have provided several types of costumes for Bassim and the players will be able to paint them according to their choice.
When We Can Expect It
Assassin's Creed Mirage will be released on October 12 on PC (Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Xbox One.
