This question was posed to Ed Boon, co-author of the Mortal Kombat series and head of NetherRealm. He confirmed that Mortal Kombat 1's story campaign will last approximately the same amount of time as MKX and MK11. Usually, the campaigns of both games lasted an average of about 5-6 hours, but with additional content, they can stretch up to 16-17 hours. Therefore, we can expect Mortal Kombat 1 to have a similar amount of content in the story mode.

Mortal Kombat 1 is out on 19 September for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
