Geoff Keighley, producer and regular host of gamescom 2023, tells us what to expect from the opening ceremony of Europe's biggest gaming exhibition

Only a week is left before the start of the biggest European exhibition gamescom 2023.

Most of the gaming industry giants will take part in the event, so gamers are expecting a lot of interesting displays.

Here's What We Know

Geoff Keighley, producer and host of gamescom 2023 Opening Ceremony, gave an interview to VGC portal, in which he opened the veil of secrecy of the upcoming show.

Geoff Keighley said that at gamescom Opening Night Live the public should not expect a lot of announcements, because this time the organisers decided to focus on the details of previously announced games, hotly anticipated by the public.

It is already known that gamers will be shown materials about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Alan Wake II, Forza Motorsport, Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, Starfield, a new game from the authors of Metro (most likely a continuation of the series), Black Myth: Wukong and much more.

The opening ceremony of gamescom 2023 will start at 20:00 (CEST) on 22 August.
