In the report for the fourth quarter, the company will include a one-time payment from Huawei, and the entire period of the agreement Nokia will receive royalties. It is noteworthy that today almost all large smartphone manufacturers pay for the use of Nokia patents (not to be confused with HMD, which produces mobile devices of the Finnish brand). Among the partners are Apple, which simply tired of dragging around the courts, Samsung Electronics, LG and Xiaomi.
According to analysts, Nokia will receive from Huawei about 100 million euros per year, while Apple's annual deductions are estimated at 250 million euros.
