AI started cheating in games

The researchers of machine learning from the University of Freiburg taught artificial intelligence to cheat.
How did the study go?
The team used eight games on the Atari console to teach AI the method of evolutionary strategy (trial and error). One of the investigated was the arcade Q * bert, which came to us from the 80's.
The researchers noticed an interesting moment. AI found a mistake in the port, which he used to get points. On the one hand, it shows the ability of AI to succeed without human help. Odako after such an opening will have to slightly limit the use of evolutionary strategy artificial intelligence.
