RoboCop: Rogue City won't be coming to Nintendo Switch after all: developers have cancelled the game's release on the Japanese handheld console

The developers of the shooter RoboCop: Rogue City planned to release the game on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. However, with the beginning of an active advertising campaign, the mention of Japanese portable consoles suddenly disappeared.

Journalists of Gematsu portal asked for a comment from the developers of Teyon studio and received a reply.

Here's What We Know

Game designers of the Polish studio really planned to release the game on Nintendo Switch, but for unnamed reasons they abandoned the idea.

Probably, this is due to the fact that RoboCop: Rogue City even on powerful devices does not work in the best way and is poorly optimised, as you could see by reading the demo version of the game in Steam.

Most likely, the decision to cancel the Nintendo Switch version is the right one, as it's unlikely that the handheld device would have been able to run RoboCop properly.

There is a possibility that RoboCop: Rogue City will be released on Nintendo's next console, which is rumoured to be released in 2024 and will be much more powerful than Switch.

When We Can Expect It

RoboCop: Rogue City will release on 2 November on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
