It's all the publisher's fault! Skull Island: Rise of Kong developers explained the reason for the game's failure

A few days ago Skull Island: Rise of Kong was released - a game, which will not soon be able to be removed from the pedestal of one of the worst projects in the history of the industry.

Here's What We Know

Even at the marketing stage the game raised a lot of questions and frightened with extremely low quality. But what appeared before gamers - caused shock, laughter and pain.

The Verge journalists tried to understand the reasons for what happened and contacted the developers from the Chilean indie studio IguanaBee.

According to their version, GameMill Entertainment publishing house is to blame for everything, which set an impossible development period (only 1 year) and cut the funding to a minimum. And IguanaBee developers are actually experienced, talented and responsible. But not rich, because of which they couldn't afford to hire additional staff. As a result, from 2 to 20 game designers worked on Skull Island: Rise of Kong, which produced such a game.

Hopefully, GameMill Entertainment won't spoil The Walking Dead: Destinies, which will be released on 17 November 2023.
