For the first time, the Russians showed footage of the use of the TOS-2 heavy flamethrower system with thermobaric missiles
In early autumn, the Russians announced the use of the TOS-2 heavy flamethrower system. Footage of the combat operation appeared only a month and a half later. At the same time, there is no evidence that the video was shot in Ukraine and not somewhere on a Russian training ground.
Here's What We Know
The TOS-2 is an improved version of the TOS-1A, which has been successfully destroyed by the Ukrainian Defence Forces. This month alone, the Russian army has lost at least four TOS-1A systems. Three of them were hit by FPV drones.
RIA Novosti released footage of the use of the TOS-2 "Tosochka" 220mm thermobaric MRL by the Russian Armed Forces against the Ukrainians.

"Tosochka" is a new version of the well-known TOS-1A Solntsepek. It can carry up to 18 rockets with thermobaric warhead. TOS-2 officially... pic.twitter.com/fqu5JadbRW
The TOS-2 has a quarter fewer guides for missiles with thermobaric warheads (18 instead of 24). At the same time, the launch range has been more than doubled. The TOS-2 can engage targets within a radius of 15 kilometres, rather than 6 kilometres like the TOS-1A.
