OpenAI has notified in an official letter that the launch of the GPT Store app shop has been pushed back to early 2024. Initially, it was planned to open in November of this year.
Here's What We Know
The GPT Store tool was announced in early November at the OpenAI conference. It will allow users to publish their own chatbots based on GPT and earn revenue.
However, the subsequent resignation of the head of the company Sam Altman made adjustments to the plans. "Some unexpected things have distracted us from our work!", says an email to the service's customers.
It also reports that OpenAI continues to improve GPT through feedback and is preparing updates to ChatGPT. In addition, last week saw a reshuffle of top executives at the company, with Altman reinstated as CEO and a new board of directors formed with Microsoft.
