Creators of Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide talk about the battle with Leviathan and other details of the expansion pack

The Rising Tide, the upcoming DLC for Final Fantasy 16, contains a variety of additions, but its main feature is undoubtedly the battle with Leviathan. During a recent discussion at PAX East, Producer Naoki Yoshida and DLC Director Takeo Kujiraoka talked about what players can expect from this epic battle.

Here's What We Know

The battle with the boss Leviathan, described as a formidable challenge, requires players to hone their skills, especially those they acquired during the confrontation with Ifrit. Interestingly, it is positioned as the final battle with Ifrit, shifting the focus from Clive (Clive) to his main Eikon.

With the appearance of Leviathan, players have a new arsenal of abilities. These Eikon abilities, which focus on ranged attacks, offer Clive new tactics. However, they come at a price - each ability depletes a tide level, requiring a recharge to replenish it. Being able to time your recharge gives you a temporary advantage, adding another layer of strategy.

Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide will be released on PlayStation on April 18.
