The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the best game in the history of the industry as voted by Game Informer magazine.
The editors of Game Informer magazine held a vote among readers, staff and members of the gaming community to find out which is the best video game in the history of the industry.
The last time such a vote was held in 2018 and the winner then was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but in 2024 another game became the leader.
Here's What We Know
The voting results recognise the best game in the history of the industry as the highest-rated project on Metacritic, a game that won an incredible number of awards - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998).
In the final round, Nintendo's bestseller faced off against an equally iconic game - The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, which in turn beat Red Dead Redemption 2 in the penultimate round.
A total of 64 games that are loved by millions of gamers took part in the voting, but there can only be one winner!
