An insider revealed the first details of Assassin's Creed Hexe: the game will feature interesting mechanics and supernatural abilities
In 2022, simultaneously with the presentation of Assassin's Creed RED, Ubisoft announced another game - Assassin's Creed Hexe.
At the moment all we know about it is that it will be a game set in 16th century Central Europe, and the main theme will be a witch hunt.
Insider Tom Henderson provided his readers with exclusive details of Assassin's Creed Hexe and they, it should be noted, sound intriguing.
Here's What We Know
At Henderson's disposal were gameplay footage of an early version of Hexe. They show a girl Elsa running away from Germanic soldiers through a gloomy and realistic medieval city.
To escape her pursuers, the woman uses supernatural powers and takes possession of a cat's mind and uses it to break a glass bottle, distracting the soldiers. Henderson suggests that the player will have a few more somewhat similar abilities.
The insider has learnt that Assassin's Creed Hexe will feature a fear system similar to the one implemented in the Jack The Ripper add-on for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, but what impact it will have on the game is not yet clear.
The footage seen allowed Henderson to confirm Assassin's Creed producer Marc-Alexis Côté's statement that Hexe will not be as massive as previous instalments in the series, but similar to the first Assassin's Creed games.
Assassin's Creed Hexe is in early production and will not be released until 2026. The game is set to be part of the Infinity platform, about which not much is known yet.
