Meta has announced the launch of a bonus programme for creators on Threads
Meta has announced the launch of a limited-time bonus programme for creators to increase engagement with the Threads platform. After reaching the barrier of 150 million monthly active users, Meta continues to actively develop its services.
Here's What We Know
The programme, which has been in testing since March, is designed to encourage creativity and engagement on the platform. Invited creators will have individualised requirements for receiving bonuses, including those aimed at publication productivity and the number of views. The programme is currently only available to creators in the US, but Meta is considering expanding to other regions if it is successful.
The terms of the programme include the requirement for posts to have at least 2,500 views, be original content, not contain watermarks from other platforms, and not be associated with a brand partnership.
The bonus programme may also be an additional incentive for Instagram users to switch to Threads, especially if their favourite creators are actively posting on the app. However, Meta did not provide detailed long-term plans for making money from content on Threads.
