US announces new $275m military aid package for Ukraine, includes munitions for HIMARS and artillery

Following Germany, the United States today also announced a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The information was shared by Voice of America journalist Ostap Yarysh on Twitter. The new arms package is worth $275 million and includes:

• Missiles for HIMARS multiple rocket launchers,
• 155mm and 105mm artillery shells,
• anti-tank weapons (Javelin, TOW, AT-4),
• high-precision aviation ammunition,
• small arms and ammunition,
• mines, etc.

Arms deliveries are due to begin shortly.
