We have already written many times that Belgium plans to transfer F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft to Ukraine. Now details about the delivery of the equipment have appeared on the Internet.

Here's What We Know

According to Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib, Ukraine will receive 30 Belgian aircraft until 2028. The first batch of aircraft will arrive by the end of 2024.

By the way, Ukraine is to receive more than 60 F-16 aircraft in service. Apart from Belgium, Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands will also be involved in deliveries. The first aircraft should appear in Ukraine in June.

Flashback

F-16 Fighting Falcon is a fourth-generation multirole fighter developed by the American company General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin). The aircraft first took to the air in 1974 and has since become one of the most common and successful fighters in the world. The F-16 is highly manoeuvrable. It can reach speeds of over 2,000 km/h and perform a wide range of combat missions, including aerial combat, ground strikes and reconnaissance. The aircraft is equipped with modern radars, fire control systems and can carry a variety of weapons: air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, bombs and guided bombs. The F-16 is in service with more than 25 countries.
