IRIS-T (Infra Red Imaging System Tail/Thrust Vector-Controlled) is an advanced surface-to-air missile system developed by German company Diehl Defence. It is designed to defend against airborne threats including aircraft, helicopters, drones and cruise missiles. IRIS-T uses infrared homing missiles that provide high accuracy and reliability of target engagement. The complex can be integrated with various air defence systems, providing multi-layered defence. By the way, the AFU now has four batteries of IRIS-T SAM batteries in SLM modification.
