Tesla recalls 125,000 vehicles due to seat belt problems
Electric car manufacturer Tesla, headed by Ilon Musk, has had to recall a significant number of its vehicles. The reason for this was discovered flaws in the seat belt system.
Here's What We Know
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported problems in Tesla vehicles with warning indicators that did not work properly, which could lead to increased risk while driving. Because of this, Tesla is recalling more than 125,000 Model S, X, 3 and Y models.
This problem is just one in a series of recent difficulties the company has faced. Just over a week ago, Tesla was already making repairs to the seatbelts on Model X cars after reports of them detaching while driving. The company has also experienced major problems with its autopilot feature, which has been associated with several crashes and even fatalities.
Tesla has already recalled more than 2.5 million vehicles this year, putting it on par with major automakers in terms of the scale of recalls. These actions have raised concerns among owners and analysts as they question the company's ability to meet the growing challenges of the industry and maintain consumer confidence.
Tesla has yet to comment on the latest recall, but the public expects the company to take further steps to fix the problems and improve the safety of its vehicles.
