Some One UI 6 Watch Galaxy AI features will work with all Android phones

Samsung is expanding the capabilities of its Galaxy watches with the announcement of One UI 6 Watch based on Wear OS 5. The new update is designed to support Galaxy AI, including health and fitness functions. However, there is some news for users who do not own Samsung phones.

Here's What We Know

According to Samsung, some key features, such as Energy Score and Wellness Guide, will be available on all Android devices running Android 10 and later if the Samsung Health app is installed on version 6.27 or higher. This means that Galaxy Watch owners can benefit from these features regardless of the brand of their phone.

However, some exclusive features, such as the new heart rate readings, will only be available to Samsung phone users. This may be disappointing for Galaxy Watch owners who use phones from other manufacturers.

So far, Samsung has not provided information on whether other features such as the workout mode or Sleep Insights will be supported with phones from other manufacturers.
