To replace iCloud Keychain: Apple unveiled a standalone Passwords app

Apple showed off the Passwords app for iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia devices at WWDC 2024.

Here's What We Know

The Passwords app replaces the iCloud Keychain feature, which is now only accessible through device settings. Now, however, all passwords will be accessed directly through a separate app.

The app brings together different credentials, including keys and even Wi-Fi passwords. Users can filter and sort their credentials by criteria: recently created accounts, credential type, shared groups, etc.

By the way, the Passwords app will also be compatible with Windows via iCloud for Windows. The new programme can already be tested by developers.
