Volodymyr Zelenskyy signs the law on the "Single Roaming Area with the EU"

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed Law No. 10265 on the Single Roaming Area with the EU.

This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedoriv. Now Ukraine will wait for a positive assessment of the law from the European side. After that, the process of negotiations on joining the single roaming zone will begin. By the way, no country outside the EU has ever joined the Roam like at home policy before.

Thanks to the new law, Ukrainians will be able to avoid paying additional fees for mobile communications and the Internet in the 27 EU countries. The same conditions will apply to users of European operators travelling to Ukraine. In addition, the law will ensure effective cooperation with the Body of European Regulators of Electronic Communications (BEREC) and fulfil the conditions for Ukraine to obtain internal market treatment with the EU in the field of electronic communications.
