Donkey Kong Country Returns HD for Nintendo Switch announced at Nintendo Direct

There are rumours that a new 3D Donkey Kong game is in development, and although Nintendo has not yet confirmed such a project, fans of the franchise can look forward to revisiting the classic game soon.

Here's What We Know

During the recent Direct presentation, Nintendo announced Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, an HD remaster of the beloved 2.5D scrolling game from Retro Studios, originally released for Wii in 2010. This updated version features improved visuals, new controls and all the extra levels from the 3DS version, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.

When We Can Expect It

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch on 16 January next year.
