The developers of Stellar Blade talked about a million copies sold, the successful launch of the new franchise and plans for the future

Developers from the South Korean studio Shift Up, during the press conference held on the 25th of June, told about the successful release of the action game Stellar Blade and plans for the future.

Here's What We Know

Shift Up CFO Jaewoo Ahn said that Shift Up doesn't have exact sales figures for Stellar Blade yet, but preliminary estimates put them at over 1 million copies.

The game was released on 26 April only on PS5 and created a furore in the European and Asian markets. Shift Up CEO Kim Hyun Dae admitted that Stellar Blade was a great first step to launch a new franchise.

The developers noted that gamers are increasingly abandoning consoles in favour of PC, so it seems logical for them to release Stellar Blade on PC, but they can't talk about it openly because they are bound by an agreement with Sony.

But we can talk about a potential crossover, so Shift Up mentioned that they plan to organise an event related to their other game - Goddess of Victory: Nikke, which was released in 2022 on mobile devices and in early 2023 on PC.

In addition, the developers do not rule out the release of a paid add-on for Stellar Blade.
