Bloomberg: UK authorises Ukraine to hit military targets on rf territory with Storm Shadow missiles

The UK government has given the green light to Ukraine to use its long-range weapons on rf territory.

Here's What We Know

This was reported by the Bloomberg edition citing the words of the new Prime Minister of the UK. We are talking about long-range missiles Storm Shadow. Previously, the UK allowed to fire them only on temporarily occupied territories and border areas. Thanks to the new permission, Ukraine will be able to strike airfields and other military facilities of the Russian Federation, which are located deep inside the country, with British missiles.

Flashback

Storm Shadow is a Franco-British air-to-ground air-launched cruise missile. It is designed to destroy important targets that are well protected by air defences. Storm Shadow can be used at any time of day and in difficult weather conditions. Development of the missile began in 1995, and the first successful tests took place in December 2000. The missile was put into service in 2003 by the British Air Force. It is capable of hitting targets at a range of 600 kilometres or 250 kilometres (export version). The AFU uses the export version of the missile.
