Xiaomi develops 7500 mAh battery with 100W charging
Xiaomi, which has previously impressed the market with record-breaking wired charging speeds, is now focusing on developing higher-capacity batteries. The company is working on two new technologies: a 7000 mAh battery with 120W charging and a 7500 mAh battery with 100W charging.
Here's What We Know
According to Digital Chat Station, several combinations of capacity and charging speed are under development:
- 5000 mAh at 120 W - 18 minutes to full charge
- 5500 mAh at 100 W - 34 minutes
- 6000 mAh at 120 W - 30 minutes
- 6500 mAh at 100 W - 49 minutes
- 7000 mAh at 120 W - 40 minutes
- 7500 mAh at 100 W - 63 minutes
Xiaomi joins a number of manufacturers, such as Honor, vivo, OnePlus, Oppo and Realme, who are opting for higher battery capacity over ultra-fast charging. The Vivo X Fold3 has a 5500mAh battery with 80W charging, and the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro has a 6100mAh battery with 100W charging. Now we just have to wait for Xiaomi to unveil its new device with the innovative battery.
