Lenovo showed at IFA 2024 an interesting novelty - a concept laptop-transformer Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC.

This is a transformer that can work in the mode of a laptop or tablet. To do this, the upper part of the case with the display can fold and unfold 360 degrees. There are enough such laptops on the modern market, so the main feature of Auto Twist AI PC is not in this.

The gadget has got a motorised hinge that also rotates the screen left and right. Add to this a smart camera and you'll get an almost perfect laptop for video conferencing. The fact that Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC tracks the user's movements and rotates the screen so that the interlocutors could always see each other.

In addition, the laptop understands and executes voice commands - for example, "open lid", "close lid", "tablet mode" or "laptop mode". And if you move away from the device - the lid automatically closes.

True, while the hinge mechanism is quite slow, and the laptop needs about 10 seconds to transform. But, in any case, so far it's just a concept, not a finished device. Whether such a laptop will go on sale - is still unknown.
