Belarus cannot transfer its Polonez missile system to Russia without China's consent

Belarus cannot transfer Polonez multiple launch rocket systems to the Russian occupation army unless China allows it.

Here's What We Know

"Polonez uses Chinese-made missiles and its potential transfer to Russia would require China's consent.

According to the South China Morning Post, Beijing and Minsk are trying not to cross Western red lines in military cooperation with each other and with Russia.

It is worth noting that not long ago, Chinese military personnel arrived in Belarus to train their Belarusian counterparts. Moreover, this happened a few days after Belarus joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. One of the goals of this organisation is military cooperation between member states.

Flashback

"Polonez was officially unveiled in 2015 and entered service in 2016. The system is capable of conducting precision strikes at a range of up to 300 km using 300 mm missiles. The MLRS can also engage a variety of targets, including armoured vehicles, military bases and infrastructure facilities with high accuracy thanks to the use of modern navigation systems.
