Plus another phobia: Samsung's new Galaxy Buds FE headphones exploded in a girl's ears, robbing her of her hearing

The fact that smartphones and tablets explode is no longer a surprise to anyone, but a story that took place in Turkey may scare headphone users.

Here's What We Know

A man bought Galaxy Buds FE headphones from an official Samsung shop, which were 36% charged and he didn't plug them into the charger.

When he got home, his girlfriend took the headphones to try them out, put them on, and then an unforeseen situation happened: the device exploded in her ear. As a result of the accident, the girl lost her hearing.

Later the buyer came to the regional representative office of Samsung with a complaint. The employees were also surprised by what had happened, as it had never happened before. They apologised on behalf of the company, but later said that the headphones did not explode, but only deformed, while ignoring the document from the doctor about traumatic hearing loss. Company representatives offered to take a new pair of headphones, "Take it or leave it. If you want, you can assert your legal rights."

The buyer has been trying to seek compensation for months now, with all receipts, photos and medical reports in hand, but both the regional and main office of Samsung have yet to respond to the incident.
