The freebie is over: before the release of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, Microsoft removed the ability to purchase Game Pass for $1

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be released on 25 October. The game will be available on Game Pass from the day of release, but now Microsoft has removed the ability to play the game for free.

Here's What We Know

Previously, you could buy Game Pass for 14 days for $1. This would have been enough to complete the story campaign and even run around online with friends.

However, we all understand that no one wants their game to be played for $1, so Microsoft has removed the 14-day subscription.

So if you want to play the new CoD via Game Pass, you'll have to pay $20.

We would like to remind you that Black Ops 6 is being developed by Treyarch and Raven studios. This time, the story campaign will be a spy action movie set in the early 90s after the end of the Cold War. The authors promise dynamic gameplay, intense shootouts, a cool storyline, crazy heists, and undercover espionage activities.

And, of course, players can enjoy multiplayer modes where they can test their skills on 16 new maps, including 12 main maps for 6-on-6 and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2-on-2 or 6-on-6. We're also looking forward to the return of our favourite Round-Based Zombie mode to take down hordes of the undead in co-op.
