Starting from scratch: God of War series to be completely restarted, with writers leaving the project

For a long time, a series based on the cult God of War game series has been in development. All this time, little has been heard about the project, and now it has been decided to completely redesign it.

Here's What We Know

Deadline reported that showrunner producer Rafe Judkins, along with episodic producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus, left the project after completing the script for the first season.

Sony and Amazon are looking to "move in a different creative direction," although one source told Deadline that the scripts were highly regarded. Nevertheless, Sony and Amazon plan to hire an entire team of writers for the series.

The only thing known so far is that the series will tell the story of Kratos' life in Scandinavia, not Greece, which means that it is based on the series' restart, but it is hard to guess when to expect the series if it does not even have a script.
