Google TV's new home bar is now available for a wide range of TVs

Google TV continues to expand its home dashboard functionality to more devices.

Following the successful launch on Google TV Streamer and Chromecast, the new panel is now available on TVs from TCL, Hisense and other brands. The Home Panel allows users to control smart home devices such as Nest lights, fans and thermostats, as well as providing live view for Nest cameras and notifications for the Nest doorbell.

While the panel's functionality isn't as powerful as the standard Google Home app, it's still very useful. Users can access the panel through quick settings by holding down the home button. If the feature is not yet available, it is recommended to check for updates on Google TV Home and other apps in the Play Market. The rollout of the feature on Google TV devices is ongoing and users can expect further improvements and extensions in the future.
