M4 Mac mini: Apple's first carbon-neutral computer

On the second day of its announcement, Apple unveiled the new Mac mini, which became the company's first carbon-neutral computer. This device joined the Apple Watch, which had previously been granted the status of a carbon-neutral product.

Here's What We Know

The new Mac mini is made from more than 50% recycled materials. Its body is made of 100% recycled aluminium, and all printed circuit boards contain 100% recycled gold.

The computer is powered by 100% renewable electricity. Apple also invests in clean energy projects to cover the electricity consumption of Mac mini users. Thanks to these measures, the company was able to reduce the carbon footprint of the device by 80%.

The Mac mini's packaging is made from fibre-based materials, helping Apple achieve its goal of eliminating plastic from its product packaging by 2025.
