Leon Kennedy, Jill and GoatMan - 'tester' reveals interesting details about unannounced Resident Evil 9

No gamer doubts that Capcom is working on Resident Evil 9, but the company still hasn't even mentioned it.

Some interesting and even sensational information has been shared by a person who appears to be a tester and claims to have seen an early version of the game.

What is known

A user with the pseudonym Andy has revealed significant details about Resident Evil 9, the authenticity of which is impossible to judge.

It was previously reported that the events of the new horror game would take place on an island in Southeast Asia, with audience favourite Leon Kennedy as the main protagonist. Andy has now confirmed this information and said that Leon will be accompanied by another character familiar to fans of the series - Jill Valentine.

Apparently, 4 years after the events of Resident Evil Village, they will travel to a certain island, where there is a company that creates clones of Evelina - the antagonist from the seventh part. The protagonists' main antagonist will be a character named Mr Simon. The developers will complete the plot thread related to Megamycete - an aggressive fungal substance that was the centre of a neo-pagan cult. By the way, the main characters will also be infected by it.

The 'Umbrella Corps' will return in Resident Evil 9, with Chris Redfield and Barry Burton as supporting characters, communicating with Leon and Jill via radio.

The island itself will feature a variety of locations: an abandoned hospital, houses, caves, a laboratory, a temple, a dark forest and an old factory.

The main enemies in the horror game will be zombies, similar to the infected cultists from the remake of Resident Evil 4 (2023).

According to Andy, Resident Evil 9 will feature an enemy similar to the Tyrant (aka Mr X from Resident Evil 2), and Jill will have to fight the Goatman (previously there were no such creatures in the franchise).

Andy's information sounds pretty convincing and fits the overall picture, but we still shouldn't take it as the truth and should wait for more details from other reliable sources, and preferably - from Capcom.
