In Australia, children will be able to use PlayStation Network without restrictions, despite the ban on social networks under 16

In November, Australia proposed to ban social media for people under the age of 16. However, this rule will not apply to video games, but specifically to the PlayStation Network.

Here's What We Know

Australian children can easily create a PlayStation account and play any games sold in Australia without having to prove their age. The proposed ban on social networks will not apply to video game services.

Social networks such as TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, Reddit, Instagram, and Twitter will be banned. YouTube, by the way, was not banned because of its educational benefits.

Therefore, you can safely play the bloody and cruel Doom at the age of 13, if your parents buy this game.
