Philips Hue releases update with new features and multi-device support

Philips has released a new update to the Philips Hue app to version 5.31.0, available for iOS and Android users.

Here's What We Know

The iOS update adds a new widget that allows you to view video from your security camera directly from the home screen. Although this feature was available in the previous 5.30 update, it was not announced. To configure the widget, press and hold the home screen, select Edit, and add a widget.

For the Android version, the update includes stability improvements and bug fixes, but no specific details on the issues fixed. provides an important new feature to support multiple Hue Bridges, allowing you to control multiple smart home devices at the same time.
