Google is working on a new "Clear Voice" feature for the Google Recorder app that will reduce background noise and highlight human speech in recordings.

Here's What We Know

This feature will be useful for recording lectures and other events where it's important to hear the speaker clearly. However, it will only work with monaural recordings and will not support external microphones. Mentions of the new feature were found in the code of the latest version of the app, but it is not yet available for activation.

When the feature becomes available, it will greatly improve the already good reputation of Google Recorder, which is already famous for its AI-assisted transcription and speaker recognition capabilities. The exact release date of the feature is still unknown, but it is expected to be an important addition to the app's already rich feature set.
