Fourteenth-century travel blogger Ibn Battuta will become a national leader in Sid Meier's Civilisation VII: new strategy trailer unveiled

Firaxis Games studio has unveiled another national leader available in Sid Meier's Civilisation VII historical 4X-strategy. This time the focus is not on the ruler, but on the famous Arab merchant, traveller and geographer Ibn Battuta.

Here's What We Know

Ibn Battuta lived in the XIV century and according to chronicles travelled 120 thousand kilometres across Asia, Africa and partly Europe.

In Civilisation VII he, like his real-life prototype, is eager to discover new territories and respects leaders who have achieved the greatest success in this and, conversely, prefers not to deal with rulers who have few open tiles.

As a leader, Ibn Battuta increases the field of vision of all his units and gains two attribute points each era. In addition, he can gradually learn which territories other leaders have explored.
