Recently, Epic Games has made significant progress in expanding the availability of its store on mobile platforms. After a lengthy legal battle with Apple, the store is now available to iOS users in the EU. This move continues the company's strategy of offering its games on the go: Fall Guys, Rocket League Sideswipe and Fortnite, through alternative app stores on both platforms.

Here's What We Know

Epic Games avoids traditional app stores by using the EU Digital Markets Act, which requires more open access to app stores to compete with giants such as Apple or Google. This practice also allows the company to avoid the commissions of these stores, which are usually charged by their owners. As part of its solution, Epic Games has also partnered with Aptoide and ONE Store to make its apps even more accessible to more players.

Although, of course, this is mostly related to Apple, since owners of Android smartphones can go to the official Epic Games Store website and download the store's application from there directly, bypassing the Play Store. iPhone and iPad owners are much more limited in this regard.
