Samsung One UI 7.0 (Android 15) may receive a new feature to block individual apps.

Here's What We Know

Currently, users can only move apps to the "Safe Folder", which is locked with the chosen verification method. However, this limits interaction with apps outside of this folder, which is not always convenient.

China already has a feature to lock certain apps on One UI, and users in other countries are actively asking Samsung to add it to the global version of One UI 7.0. It can be useful, for example, to protect sensitive apps when other people or children are using the phone.

Representatives of the One UI beta team confirmed that the idea of app locking is currently under consideration. If it is in line with Samsung's concept, this feature may appear in the official release of One UI 7.0.
