Rumour: Sony will hold a State of Play at the end of January and name release dates for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei
The rumour that Sony will hold State of Play in December has never been confirmed, but insiders are not discouraged and are dutifully carrying information about new dates for the supposed show.
Here's What We Know
Sony has several high-profile releases planned for 2025, chief among them Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei, a sequel to samurai action game Ghost of Tsushima.
Both games haven't received exact release dates and their active advertising campaigns haven't started yet, so it's logical to assume that Sony will start promoting the novelties in the near future.
According to Alex Smith - former employee of Bend Studio and co-creator of Syphon Filter series, the next State of Play will take place on 30 January 2025 and at it, in addition to the presentation of some games, will be announced release dates for Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei.
Smith also hinted that Sony is planning to make a major announcement of some kind of multiplatform project, but he's not entirely sure.
