PlayStation legend Shuhei Yoshida leaves the company after 31 years
Shuhei Yoshida, a legendary figure in the world of PlayStation, has ended his career with the company after 31 years. His last day at Sony Interactive Entertainment will be 15 January 2025, and he is leaving with a sense of pride in the brand's achievements.

Yoshida joined Sony in 1993, when the team was still working on the original PlayStation console. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership positions, including President of Worldwide Studios, where he was responsible for the development of exclusive games. In 2019, he became the head of the PlayStation Indies initiative, supporting independent developers.
In announcing his departure, Yoshida shared his thoughts on the future of PlayStation: "I believe the company is in good hands with new talent." He also expressed his desire to remain in the video game industry, although no specific plans have been disclosed.
