The Horizon series has gained immense popularity among players. After the success of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, it was reported that a multiplayer game in this universe is being developed. Recent rumours suggest that Guerrilla Games is hoping for over a million players in Horizon Online.

Here's What We Know

On 15 January 2025, Guerrilla Games posted a job announcement for a senior programmer on its website, which contained an interesting point: "experience in creating and operating systems supporting over a million users". This indicates the studio's ambitious plans for the new project.

While this may be a sign of the high demand for the game, there is also a theory that Guerrilla is trying to avoid the problems with overcrowded servers that occurred during the launch of Helldivers 2. There is a possibility that the new game will be presented at the upcoming State of Play, and fans are eagerly awaiting the official reveal of the game.

It is worth reminding that the next PlayStation State of Play presentation is rumoured to be held at the end of January.
