Xiaomi took half of the Chinese OLED TV market
Xiaomi boasted of another achievement of its OLED TVs. They have captured half of the Chinese market.
What is known
Liu Weibing, one of the vice presidents of Xiaomi, said that the company owns every second TV with OLED panel sold in China. The statistic was obtained on September 30, 2021, but it's not clear what period it covers. Perhaps it's about the third quarter.
Xiaomi solutions are the most popular OLED TVs in many Chinese stores. The most recent models are the Mi TV 6 OLED 55" and 65" diagonal, as well as the Mi TV Master OLED 77", which was introduced in late summer.
The company itself admits that OLED TVs are not yet hugely popular overall. Their share of the market is still small. Users prefer more affordable solutions, so although Xiaomi plans to continue to pay attention to this niche, it still wants to focus on the release of TVs with LCD screens.
